Today a couple of well known 18 year olds go head to head. Although macallan makes some spectacular whiskies i think they don t get really good until the 15 and 18 which are too expensive. The problem is that while this orkney produced whisky is well balanced and full of sherry sweetness. A nice blue box a pretty classic bottle tall but not too tall for my whisky cupboard. Of the recent and current ones the bottle of glenlivet 18 yo that i currently have opened is really good. Of those two i d take the hp15 by far. Battle of the monsters. Scotch that is.
